Traditional pasta sauce with a kick! This spicy sauce is said to originate from “Amatrice”, a small city in the Lazio region in central Italy, with the Romans tweaking the recipe to give us Matriciana. 

Ingredients

Tomato, bacon (Pork (90%), Salt, Mineral Salts (451, 450) Sugar, Antioxidant (316), Preservative (250)), Onion, Olive Oil, Salt, Fresh Basil, Garlic, Oregano, Chili Flakes (0.1%), Pepper.

Cooking Instructions

Stove top:
Remove film and pour contents into a saucepan. Heat gently, stirring occasionally until simmering. Stir and Serve

Microwave: With a fork, pierce the film in 4-5 places. Place in the microwave and heat on high for 4 minutes or until at desired temperature. Carefully take out of the microwave and remove film. Stir and Serve
